Spanish IV 04-29-08

Español IV 04-29-08

  • While Maestra Thurber-Brown checked in homework, students found a partner and read the article on p.70 about deforestation, talked about the global crisis and wrote 5 sentences describing possible solutions using the subjunctive tense.
  • We then looked at B.K. Nelson’s Spanish website with personal ads. Everyone wrote descriptions of themselves and of the ideal mate they may be looking for, using the subjunctive.
  • We then listened to a report about Pazverde, an organization in Ecuador that is helping protect the mangroves from extinction. Students listened to the news report carefully and wrote answers to comprehension questions.
  • We listened to two songs called “Lo Dudo” and “Quizáz” that both use the subjunctive tense, while reading the lyrics on the document camera.
  • We ended class by going through some flashcards of vocabulary and enjoying some of the 4-square vocabulary squares students made.
