Spanish II 04-21-08

Español II 04-21-08

· We began with Maestra Range acting out a typical day and going shopping to review the vocabulary students used in last night’s essay. Students watched and listened to identify the verbs used in the skit, and then helped change the present tense verbs to the preterite tense.

· Students shared their essays with their partners, and asked Oral Practice
Questions to one another about their daily routine and what they bought at the store.

· Students then switched partners and played a game with small whiteboards to practice the preterite tense. As Maestra Range called out the verb and the conjugation, students in each pair took turns writing down the answer and trying to be the first team to hold it up correctly when the teacher called “Arriba!”

· Maestra Range introduced the use of adjectives as nouns (the blue jackets = the blue ones). We read p.116 aloud in class. Second period did Activity 23 with a partner to practice using these adjectives.

· We went over the homework in the Demonstrative Adjectives (green) packet, p.93, Exercise A, #1-10.
