Español II 14 de abril de 2008 – Mrs. Range began full-time teaching today

• Pretest: pages 98-99; How much do you already know about sharing information about shopping? Where to go? What to buy? Describing your purchase? How much it costs?
• Presented the vocabulary on page 98: practiced pronunciation and verified meanings.
• Activity 1, page 98: Parts 1 & 2. Writing up what we want to buy, what’s it like and where we’d go to buy it. Then we exchanged information with one of our “appointment” partners about what we had written. Last, we reviewed our answers together as a whole class.
• We listened to a new song about “How much does it cost?” Students got a HANDOUT of the lyrics, so they could follow along as they listened. Period 4 liked it so much they requested listening to it a second time.
• Reviewed the numbers on page 99. We practiced them by dictating our phone numbers and with exercises 2 & 3, page 99.
• Tarea:
1. Select 20 items YOU NEED to learn from page 98, and make flash cards of them.
2. Select the column of numbers YOU NEED TO LEARN most, from page 98, and make flash cards of those.
3. Complete BOTH SIDES of the blue handout, 2B-A/2B-B: practicing the vocabulary and numbers from pp. 98-99.
