• Sra. Thurber-Brown was at an all-day meeting in Salem, so Sra. Range (student teacher) and Sra. Fowler (substitute teacher) taught class today.
• Students turned in their unused hall passes for extra points.
• We took a short "field trip" to visit the new campus health center that opened yesterday. We were the first class to tour the center and received neat color-changing pencils and tasty snacks.
• We returned to the classroom and reviewed class names in Spanish and then took the Names Quiz.
• Students then met with their 9am partner and read the “Cuanto dura la basura? Essay on p. 48 of the textbook. We then read it aloud in class and discussed what happens to garbage and how long it takes to decompose.
• Students then showed the visuals and research information they brought in and worked on their posters using classroom art supplies.

Tarea:

1. Everyone will present their posters in a Circulo Oral on MONDAY.
2. Also, prepare your Annotated Bibliography for your Research Project. Be sure to include at least five sources of information. Due MONDAY.
3. Have a wonderful long weekend!
