Español II 9 de abril de 2008
- We checked homework assignments while listening to the WAVA audio lessons #6, 7, 8 and 9 to practice daily routine and reflexive verbs.
- Read textbook p.86 and did activity #19 as a class (2nd period only).
- As a class, we reviewed the homework assignments:
1. SER/ESTAR packet, p.109 #1-25
2. Possessive Pronouns packet, p.193-194
3. P.34 in the WAVA book
4. P.81, Activity #10 (4th period only)
· Returned Reflexive Verbs Test 2-A and Vocabulary 2A Test. In 2nd period we went over the test answers, but in 4th period we did not have time to go over them.
· We reviewed some ideas for remembering the differences between SER and ESTAR, including DOTS, Mary Had a Little Lamb and a Pig, ELF, and “no matter how you feel or where you are, always use the verb ESTAR.”
Tarea:
Study for two tests tomorrow!

Vocabulario – p.96
- La ropa = clothing
- El cuerpo humano = the human body
- Articulos del tocador = grooming articles
Structure (grammar)
- Reflexive verbs – meaning & uses
- Ser & Estar – meanings & uses
- Stressed possessives = como adjetivo y como pronombre
Como adjetivo – Es el libro mío (NOUN with adjective in phrase)
Como pronombre – el mío (pronoun = NO Noun in phrase)
Son canicas nuestras. (adjetivo)
Son nuestras. (pronombre)
Be ready to recognize AND produce language (YES! This DOES mean that you’ll be writing a paragraph). Yes, spelling does count.
