Español II – 3 de abril de 2008
- Warm-up: Vocabulary practice using Activity 4, page 78. Students wrote out 10 sentences using the grooming articles depicted in the drawing as prompts. We reviewed using their sentences and toiletries projected under the document camera.
- Reflexive Verbs = Conjugation Practice
- We corrected the write up from yesterday’s survey
- Then used the 10 “Daily Routine” sentences as a conversation prompt for partner question and answer practice.
- Next, as a whole class, I asked individuals about their daily routines and then followed up with the other students to report about what they heard.
- I explained the format for tomorrow’s quiz on the reflexives:
I will give the English meanings for the 18 verbs on the verb grid from Monday. Next to it the student will write the Spanish equivalent. Then the student will use the provided subject pronoun to conjugate that same verb.
Example: To get dressed: vestirse, ella: se viste
- I shared the photos I took on Monday of the group’s labeling their model. We used these to review the parts of the body, and some clothing items.
- I reminded students that next Thursday is also the day we’ll have our classmates’ names test, so we also used the photos to practice everyone’s classroom names.

- STUDY for Reflexive Verbs test (see above).
- Please bring your WAVA workbook – we’ll be using it first thing tomorrow.
