Spanish II 04-01-08

Español II 1ero de abril de 2008

  • I stamped homework while students worked on a HANDOUT matching pictures with new vocabulary items for 2A. We reviewed the answers, using the document camera.
  • I distributed the new vocabulary list – see page 96 or http://www.quia.com/jg/1160510list.html
  • We added jewelry items to our vocabulary list: La cadena (chain), el collar (necklace), el/los arete/s (earring/s), el anillo (ring), la sortija (engagement ring), la pulsera (bracelet), el reloj pulsera (wrist watch).
  • We watched the DVD of the Video Historia (see pages 76-77- text), and then students wrote out the comprehension activity – Act. 3, page 77. We reviewed the answers as a whole class, indicating which panel led the students to their answers.
  • I shared more grooming articles under the document camera: Shaving items, etc.
  • Homework corrections AND review of REFLEXIVE VERBS. We went over the meanings and forms of the 18 verbs from the verb grid last night. ¡IMPORTANTE! = Remember to USE the REFLEXIVE PRONOUN (me, te, se, nos , os, se) AND to conjugate the verb, too.
  • I announce a test on Friday over the Reflexive verbs - Know their meanings AND How to conjugate them.
  • Homework/Tarea:
    1. Encusta (Survey) = In the middle part of the handout, answer the questions in the upper part for yourself (use the yo form of the verb).
    2. Yellow PACKET “Reflexive Pronouns”. Highlight the KEY IDEAS on the front and back of the first page (pp. 175 & 176) AND complete the exercises on page 177.
