Spanish II 04-08-08

Español II 8 de abril de 2008

  • We reviewed the goals for this unit which ends on Thursday with the unit test. Students need to be able to talk about getting ready for the day or a special event by using grooming vocabulary, reflexive verbs, ser/estar and stressed possessives (“It’s mine!)
  • Students translated 10 sentences using reflexive verbs and vocabulary about the daily routine. (4th period did some sentences on the small white boards)
  • We reviewed the homework assignment F in the yellow packet, practicing reflexive verbs.
  • As a class, we corrected the WAVA homework assignments, Activity 11 & 12 on pages 32 and 33 to practice ser/estar and reflexive verbs.
  • Students asked for clarification about attaching reflexive pronouns to infinitives and when to put them before the verb, so we reviewed p. 71 of the textbook and discussed verbs like have to, prefer to, need to that combine with infinitives (4th period only)
  • Students divided into teams of four and acted out humorous daily routines while their teammates read the scripts (2nd period only).
  • We reviewed the homework on page 81 of the textbook from Activity 10 in (2nd period only).

Tarea:

    1. “To Be” Packet, p.110, finish the questions through #25.
    2. “Possessive Pronouns” packet, p.193-194, #5 & 6.
    3. WAVA workbook p.34.
    4. Reminder: Class names quiz on THURSDAY!
