- Mrs. Range introduced demonstrative adjectives by talking about jackets and hats she passed out to students around the classroom and asked students if they preferred this, that or the one way over there.
- We read p. 114 as a class to learn about demonstrative adjectives, and watched a short GramActiva video.
- Students received a green packet on Demonstrative Adjectives and we reviewed the first page. We also learned a rhyme to help remember the new words. “This and These both have Ts. That and Those no T shows. Far Away begins with A. I don’t know ends with O.”
- We reviewed the homework sheet of vocabulary (pink), and the Practice Worksheet #1 (yellow), with students volunteering to share their answers.
- We reviewed the Lesson 2A test that students took last week. There were many A’s and B’s on this test, and students did a great job writing well and using reflexive verbs and new vocabulary in the essay portion of the test.
- Students received their homework assignments and asked questions about tomorrow’s quiz.
Tarea:
- Fill out your yellow Bingo grid. Select 5 words from each of the columns above the grid and put them in the boxes below, writing both the English and Spanish words. Let’s play Bingo tomorrow!
- Complete the green Translation Worksheet. This is a great practice for the quiz!
- Study for tomorrow’s quiz. You will need to know how to conjugate regular verbs in the preterite (past) tense, time expressions (yesterday, last night, a year ago, etc.) and vocabulary about shopping.
