2^nd Round on Concentric Circles – this time in pairs (not groups of 4). Each station had a lámina (teaching sheet) with the printed information enlarged, to help students extract information from the reading. I stamped and checked in homework while the students worked.

Lámina topics were about the 8 geographic regions of the Earth and the 10 climatic zones. Students had a graphic organizer to complete with the names of each of these areas and were to write a brief description of the defining characteristics for each.

Students were at a total of 8 stations, 7 minutes per station.

We then corrected the 2 written exercises practicing the vocabulary for 2B: pp. 61 & 62, Activities 24 & 25. We had extra discussion over the differences of “Calidad” & “Cualidad” – see ¡Cuidado! On the vocabulary – page 60.

Tarea:

1. Read “Biosfera 98” – page 48, workbook packet.
2. Workbook exercises, pg. 49, (workbook packet) 2-15, 2-16, 2-17 (3 columns: los compromisos / las ventajas / las desventajas)
