Spanish IV 04-25-08

Español IV 04-25-08

  • To begin class, students were asked to write down 5 predictions for the year 2050. We then shared our predictions as a class. In pairs, students read an article on p.59 about Futurologists and what they predict the world will be like in 40 years. Students answered the questions in Act. 2-21 about the article and discussed it with their partner and then with the whole class.
  • We used our 15 definitions to play “I’m thinking of a word…” in which students took turns reading their definitions to the class and having others guess which word it was for.
  • Maestra Range introduced the subjunctive tense using a Power Point presentation and explained that the subjunctive is used in complex clauses to express doubt, influence and emotion.
  • Maestra Thurber-Brown reviewed the Exam 2A with the class, and went over the homework for Monday.

Tarea:

    1. Write four “Four Square” vocabulary definitions from Organizer #3 (the words you looked up meanings for last night).
    2. Complete Activity 2-23 on p. 61.
    3. Complete WB46 2-10 to practice vocabulary and 2-11 to practice the subjunctive.
