Más adjetivos!
Workbook page 1 - As we're awaiting the arrival of our workbooks, students copied, and then filled in the answers. We reviewed:
- Making plurals with nouns and adjectives.
- Making adjectives "agree" with the nouns they describe
- Meanings - we drilled the vocabulary from my Quia site for Para empezar.
Workbook page 2 - students copied and then completed:
- Subject pronouns & the forms of SER in a chart.
- Wrote out sentences - Using given subjects, choosing correct form of SER & adjusting the given adjective as needed.
Homework Review:
- Corrected Activity 3 - 8 sentences about celebrities: Played a guessing game 1st with a partner then all together as a class.
- Activity 7 - Which form of SER? Students read the description of friends and family of the writer first with a partner, then for the class - verifying their use of SER.
Geografía - The Spanish-Speaking World
- Partner & Small Group Activity: How many of these countries can you name? Do you know where they are located.
- We reviewed all together.
- Page 6 - textbook: Countries and Nationality Adjectives: We practiced pronunciation on these and I gave some spelling tips. This first part of the list attached to the hotlink above also has the adjectives from page 6.
Tarea
Make FLASHCARDS for the 20 countries and their Nationality Adjectives on page 6 in your textbook.
Ejemplo: From Argentina (side one); Argentino, -a (side two)
NOTE: You COULD say "De la Argentina" on side one...(:>)
