El español II - el 06 de septiembre de 2012


1. For Block 2 = I answered "Datos personales" questions from the student to me, sharing about my background, interests, travels and family.
   For Block 3 = We checked out books from the library.



2. Introduction to the textbook and we began Para empezar - our first unit (Spanish 1 review).
a. Page 2 - Listening and reading comprehension - describing what people are like.  
   Activity 1 - wrote out answers.
b. Page 3 - Adjectives - How they are used and 18 basic personal descriptors adjectives (Vocabulary for the lesson).  Here's a link to the adjectives - and colors - MORE than the 18 from page 3.


3. Reviewed the Subject Pronouns (Yo, tú, Ud., él, ella, Nosotros/as, Vosotros/as, Uds., ellos, ellas).


4. Reviewed the verb SER - to be (for personality/permanent traits) - see page 5


5. Block 2 just started their 5-question quiz about the class, and we'll continue this tomorrow.  Block 3 will do it tomorrow, too.

Tarea:
1. Flashcards for the 18 adjectives on page 3.  Number the Spanish side (1-18); Write the English on the reverse.  Cut apart and have ready for class - please have them in order by number with something to keep them together: Paper clip, etc.
2. Cover your text book  - protect the edges, spine and corners.  Making yourself?  Be sure to use heavy paper. Extra credit contest for well-done ones: Artistic, Creative Design and/or Good use of Polite Spanish.
3. Pared de palabras handout. Fill-in the Vocabulary YOU NEED TO LEARN from the Spanish 1 Review Packet: First 3 lists.
4. SIGNED (1) Workbook and (2) Correct Level letters - if you didn't turn them in today.
