El español II - el 07 de septiembre de 2012

  1. Learned the Spanish Viernes song - a tradition in my classes.
  2. Survey - Students asked and answered each others' questions about the class procedures and then we debriefed all together.   I checked off textbook covers and the other homework while students circulated.
  3. I explained about the "systems" that are set-up in the classroom to help them.
  4. Study Buddies Partner Orals - using Spanish, students exchanged names, phone numbers and the best time to contact each other.
  5. ADJECTIVES - Why are there 4 forms for most adjectives?  We reviewed the concepts of gender (género) and number (número) and Noun-Adjective agreement.(concordancia).
  6. Sentence Writing - Reviewed our "formula" for writing simple sentences and then practiced it with SER and adjectives.
Tarea:
1. Activity 3, page 3: Write 8 sentences - EACH on about a DIFFERENT CELEBRITY.  Use SER and TWO adjectives for EACH sentence.  Example: Enrique Iglesias es talentoso y guapo.
2. Activity 7, page  5: Complete the blanks with the correct form of the verb SER.  You may list them 1-10 instead of writing out the whole paragraph.
3. Spanish 1 Review Packet - Add in the vocabulary you need to learn from the lists for lessons 2A and 2B on your Pared de palabras handout.
