Spanish II 05-01-08

Español II 1 de mayo de 2008

  • Students took Maestra Range’s pretest for the new unit. She will use it for her student teaching assessment.
  • We then reviewed what students learned in Spanish 1 about the rooms in a house or apartment. We practiced pronouncing the vocabulary and learned about how what we call the 2nd floor in English is called the 1st floor in Spanish.
  • Students read the new vocabulary on p.126 of the text introducing chores and places in the community. Students talked with their partners about what chores they and their parents do on a daily basis.
  • Using the flashcards they made as the homework assignment these past two nights, students tested eachother on the vocabulary to see how many flashcards they could get correctly in 30 second intervals.
  • Everyone performed the new TPR (Total Physical Response) rhyme to practice prepositions.
  • Students collected new partners for our new partner list using vocabulary from the new unit.
  • Maestra Range introduced the yellow “En Casa” packet and asked students to practice saying the vocabulary for kitchen and bathroom items. Students in 4th period did Exercise 7 in the packet.
  • In 2nd Period, we reviewed the 2B Exam. Scores are available on eSIS.
  • In 4th Period, we practiced numbers with flashcards as a class.

Tarea:
