  • I collected the two activities prepared as homework.
  • We participated in a Psychology experiment for the first few minutes of class.
  • Lectura de laminas: using the teaching sheets from Mexico, we read about various topic having to do with geographic features as well as their flora and fauna.
  • While students were reading, they were to chart KEY WORDS as: (1) Cognates (2) New Words (3) Your best guess of the new word’s meaning – based on the context. The 4th column is to be completed as homework: The REAL meaning of the new word.
  • We reviewed the homework: many students had done it incorrectly – I returned the assignment and we went over examples of how it ought to be done. I was pleased by the few students who had done quality work, but also disheartened by the amount of students who hadn’t. Students have the opportunity to redo this for Tuesday.
  • We were able to watch about 15 minutes more of Selena.
  • Tarea:
    1. Look up the meanings of the words you guessed the meanings for during the Lectura de Láminas today.
    2. Read about the efforts to mitigate the air pollution in Mexico, DF, on page 68 AND write 5 comprehension questions (en español) to be posed to your classmates.
    3. If need be, REDO Activity 34 – being careful about the quality of your work, please.

  • Partner vocabulary drills using the flash cards re: Casa y Apartamento from last night’s homework. We worked with our “garganta” partner.
  • New Vocabulary-builder Packet: En casa.
  • We worked on two sections:
  • En el baño: pages 100-101, (Key vocabulary on page 109) – I introduced the vocabulary and then the students worked on completing exercises 7 & 8 with their “ojo” partner.
  • We reviewed the answers for this section, then I introduced the “Dormitorio” section, as above. Students worked with their “bigote” partner, trying to complete exercises 13, 14 & 15.
  • Period 2 did not earn the privilege of watching their movie today.
  • Period 4 did get to see more of Happy Feet in Spanish.
  • Tarea:
    1. Prepare the Casa y Muebles Lotería with bilingual answers.
    2. Complete the section of the En casa packet having to do with La sala – pages 104-105, vocab. Pg 110.
    3. Flash cards: 3A- A ver si recuerdas vocabulary sheet - the furniture items at the bottom of the first page, listed by the rooms.

  • Reviewed Activities 24 & 27 with our Guernica partners, while I checked off these activities as last night’s homework.
  • Took turns reading the sentences from Act. 24 aloud for the class, and then volunteers read their definitions of the technology items in Act. 27, and we tried to name what s/he was describing.
  • Continued with the notes and Power Point over the study points for the present subjunctive – see pages 64-67
  • Practiced the subjunctive with Activity 2-30, page 67.
  • We watched a little more of our movie, Selena in Spanish with Spanish subtitles.
  • Tarea:
    1. Act. 34 – page 69. Using a variety of the independent clauses listed react to the items in the numbered list from the futurist’s article we read yesterday.
    2. Act. 35 – page 69. Make a list of 6 (or more) predictions with opinions about what will happen within the next decade. Have these ready to share tomorrow and be ready to react to others’ predictions.

  • Corrected the homework: 2B crossword, reviewing the preterite, demonstrative adjectives and the vocabulary of the lesson.
  • Took the 2B Unit exam today: Reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar multiple choice questions and a short essay incorporating the lesson’s vocabulary and the past tense.
  • Got a new vocabulary packet to introduce the new lesson: Talking about our homes and the household chores typical for each part of them.
  • Watched a little more of the movies in Spanish:

  • With our Don Quijote partner, we read the article about futurists and their predictions for 2050: page 59. I credited the individual vocabulary sheets prepared as homework last night as students worked.
  • Completed Act. 2-21, page 61: Reading comprehension questions.
  • We did Act. 2-23, page 61: looking for cognates among the key concepts in the article to then use to summarize the article on page 59.
  • We began our review of the present subjunctive, going over noun clauses and which ones DO and which ones DON’T require the subjunctive.
  • Tarea:
    1. Act. 24, page 61: Using the vocabulary in Ampliación.
    2. Act. 27, page 62: Describing the item with three aspects, but NOT mentioning it’s name.

  • Turned in the homework to be credited during the test.
  • Took the Preterite test: Conjugations (20 pts) and sentence translations incorporating the preterite verbs, preterite time expressions and a little bit of the lesson vocabulary (17 pts).
  • After turning in the test, students picked up a copy of the 2B vocabulary crossword and then began working it.
  • After the test was completed, homework was returned and we corrected it.
  • We completed the Demonstrative Adjective packet and practiced the “that/those ones over there” form (aquel…) with ACT. 2B-6 in the yellow workbook packet.
  • We practiced making pronouns out of redundant noun phrases = see Act. 2B-7. ex. Did you buy the black cap or the red cap?... I bought the red one.
  • Period 4 got to see a few minutes more of Happy Feet=Spanish with English subtitles.
  • Tarea:
    1. Review verb flash cards group #9 (Saber-Trabajar)
    2. Bring completed 2B crossword puzzle.

  • Graded Oral Discussion = Whole period.
  • We discussed the ecological issues listed on page 54, prepared as homework.
  • We formed a circle and everyone took turns posing their problem, and possible solutions.
  • Everyone took turns making additional comments over someone else’s issue as well as posing questions to draw out more information from the speaker.
  • Tarea: Reorganize the vocabulary on page 60 into categories that make sense for you. If you feel some of the categories are weak, add additional items. See the one I did for you for page 46, as an example.

  • Partner verb practice ala Battleship = practicing the preterite. We played with our “pelo” partner.
  • Corrected 2B-5 & Traducción: both more preterite practice.
  • Due to shortened period, both periods 2 & 4 elected to postpone their preterite tests until tomorrow, even though the 2B Lesson is slated for Thursday.
  • Reviewed the Demonstrative Adjectives (this and these, that and those).

    3. We took active notes on the study points in the packet.

  • Homework stamped and credited while students did the listening activities 5, 6 & 7 in their WAVA workbooks. After each activity we debriefed the answers before going on to the next one. Activities 5 & 6 practiced the vocabulary from page 124 in context. Activity 7 practiced the preterite: I asked students to write down some of the preterite verbs they heard while listening to the speakers and looking at the drawings relating to the speakers’ conversations.
  • Homework corrections: We went over the answers in the yellow packet, and in the WAVA workbook, practicing the preterite and the vocabulary.
  • I introduced Demonstrative Adjectives – see page 114. These adjectives refer to how close to, or how far away from, the speaker is the item referred to. In English we say: This/These for close range items; That/Those for mid-range items, and That one over there/Those ones over there for far away items. In Spanish these are: Este, Esta/Estos, Estas (this and these); Ese,Esa/Esos,Esas (that and those); Aquel,Aquella/Aquellos,Aquellas (that/those ones over there).
  • I shared a mnemonic device poem to help students remember which DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVE is which:

  • I explained what tomorrow’s test over the preterite will be like. Be sure you know all of the verbs on the pink VERB GRID FOR THE PRETERITE: how to CONJUGATE them and what they mean in the preterite. Also be sure you can translate simple sentences from English using these verbs with the PRETERITE TIME EXPRESSIONS we learned from the white PRETERITO packet last week.
  • We practiced using a HANDOUT called, Tarea de traducción. We did the upper part of the handout – translating verbs from the preterite in English to their Spanish equivalents.
  • Tarea / homework:
    1. Study for the PRETERITE TEST tomorrow
    2. Write out exercise 2B-5, page 44 in the yellow packet.
    3. Finish the PINK (or blue for some in period 4) translation handout.
    4. Have CARDS ready for REVIEW VERBS group #7: Oír – Pintar. Study these verbs to be sure you remember their meanings and how to conjugate them in the present and the preterite.

· Reviewed vocabulary re: seasons and climates playing photo bingo. A handout of vocabulary was distributed for the game which you should keep and study.

· Got with our “Acueducto de Segovia” partner and read & discussed the article about the ecological movement in Costa Rica on page 54.

· Tarea: Using the list of ecological problems, select 3 problems. Give at least three examples for each problem of why/how it is a problem AND pose an intelligent solution, give an example of how it can be implemented.

  • Turned-in and we checked off last night’s homework while students did partner orals with questions in the preterite. Every 2-3 minutes they changed partners for a total of 5 partners. Keep this handout of questions to practice with outside of class and for more in-class work next week.

  • Period 4 corrected the yellow packet exercises 2B-1 & 2B-2, pages 40 & 41.

  • Took, and then corrected, the verb quiz for the verbs from the VERBs column on page 46. As there was some confusion as to which column was to be studied, we used this as a practice quiz.
  • Verified which verbs to study for the quiz tomorrow.
  • Reviewed SER versus ESTAR and HABER – Correcting activity 2-8.
  • Reviewed the Future, and the study points on pp. 55-56. We then practiced it further with activity 2-15, page 57.
  • We practiced using the probability feature of the future within a present context, What time must it be? It’s probably 12 PM

¿Qué hora sera?...Serán las doce de la tarde.

How old would she be? She’s probably 40.

¿Cuántos años tendrá ella?...Tendrá los 40.

  • We placed, ¿Quién será?...Who is it (probably)? Using our descriptors we wrote last night as homework. We played in groups of 4, then selected a “star” from the group to share with the whole class.
  • We went to BK Nelson’s site at Colby College, and read the poem, Amapola- and then using the poem, we practiced the future using an exercise based upon it. We completed the missing words from the poem, which just happened to be verbs in the future☺

  • Quiz: Time Expressions that go with the preterite (13.5 points)

We took the quiz, and then corrected it in class.

  • Reviewed & corrected the –ar verbs in the preterite from our homework verb grid.
  • Reviewed the regular –er & -ir preterite verb forms, and then started the class on these on the same verb grid.
  • Introduced the spelling changes in the preterite in YO for verbs ending with –gar, as in Pagar. To keep the “hard g sound” next to the é ending for Yo, one must add a “u” before the “é”→ pagué. This is ONLY in YO.
  • We practiced the forms of Comprar, Pagar and Costar in the preterite by asking and answering the follow questions in a survey format of 3 other students:

¿Qué compraste?...¿Dónde lo/la/los/las compraste?...¿Cómo pagaste?...¿Cuánto costó/costaron?

  • Period 2 played Lotería – el cuerpo humano
  • Period 4: Introduced the other spelling changers and irregular verbs on the backside of the verb grid. –car verbs, like tocar, and –zar verbs, like empezar, also have spelling changes ONLY in YO.

Tocar = Toqué, tocaste, etc.; Empezar = empecé, empezaste, etc.

  • We took the verb quiz: #’s 56-61 (quedar, relucir, reveler, rondar, soler, tapar)
  • We corrected the quiz and then turned it in.
  • Ecology problem persuasive talks: prepared over the weekend, students shared the poster they created to demonstrate the issue, and read us the paragraph they wrote as homework to persuade us to change our ways to alleviate the problem.
  • Quick review of Ser versus Estar, and introduction of exercise 2-8, page 52.
  • Quick review of the Future (pp.55-56).
  • Tarea:
    1. Practice Ser / Estar / Haber (hay) with Activity 2-8 = page 52

  • Introduced the simple past tense: El pretérito. We went over the regular forms for –ar, -er, and –ir verbs. Students made a flash card for an example of each.

    3. Read the ¿Cuánto dura la basura? – page 48 and use this as a basis for developing your own PERSUASIVE message and poster (8 1/2” X 11”) on an ecological topic. Write a persuasive paragraph that you will present on Monday, along with your poster.

  • We took the verb quiz over the first 5 verbs on page 25, and then corrected it in class.
  • We divided into groups of 4, to debrief the story and to share our answers from Temas exercise last night. I circulated, answered questions and checked off homework. Afterwards, we debriefed the story and the Temas de discutir as a whole class.
  • Using the definitions written last night from the new vocabulary on page 46, students got together with our El alcazar de Segovia partner and played “Estoy pensando en una palabra” = one partner describes, or talks all around the word, and the other partner tries to guess which one it is.
  • Using the dictionary site http://wordreference.com/ we reviewed the verbs for tomorrow (desarrollar, enloquecer, esconderse, filmar, gruñir).
    1. Type the verb in the “ENTER THE WORD” space →select Spanish to English→Search
    2. On the new page select CONJUGADOR to the right of the word on the new page.
    3. A list appears with all of the conjugations, with any irregularities highlighted in blue script.
  • We filled our Botella = 30 minutes of Spanish board and card games tomorrow! Some people signed up to bring food items to class tomorrow to enjoy during our game time. You are also welcomed to bring anything to share, potluck style.
  • Tarea / Homework:
    1. Read the interview with a “Futurologist”, on page 45.
    2. Complete the exercises 2-1 (based on the reading above) & 2-3 (vocabulary practice), on page 47.
    3. Study verbs for tomorrow.

  • Announced a QUIZ for tomorrow: the vocabulary on page 98 and the written words for the numbers on page 99. Be prepared to write out the words in Spanish from English clues and from numerals.
  • Reviewed writing out numbers in Spanish:
    1. Received a white, two-sided handout reviewing numbers, their spelling and notes on usage.
    2. Activity 2, page 99: Did the speaking exercise with our “Calavera” partners, and then each partner wrote out the answers.
    3. Activity 3, page 99. We wrote out the dates/years of several important historical dates: 1942, 1620, 1969 and 1945
  • Got credit for, and then corrected, our homework:
    1. Using the document camera, I showed my flashcards of the first group of verbs from the review list distributed yesterday.
    2. GAVE THE DUE DATES for flashcards from the rest of the list.
    3. Corrected the blue two-sided handout: 2B-A & 2B-B.
  • Reviewed Parts of the Body and Clothing – Blue packet of “funny” line drawings of a body, a face, Men’s wear and Women’s wear.
  • We filled our bottle and organized who will try to bring what to have some food in class tomorrow along with our 30 minutes playing Spanish board and card games.

  • New seating chart
  • New oral partners – Una visita a España
  • With our Giralda partner, we read aloud the story we read last night, “Cuéntame un cuento”.
  • We debriefed some of the special vocabulary, not already glossed in the margins, and also discussed a few of the aspects of the story. We began discussing the “Temas” on page 41, but I felt the discussion would benefit from the students reading through the story once again beforehand.
  • We discussed some of the details of the upcoming project: confirmed the deadline dates and how to write up their proposals.
  • We reviewed the meanings of the verbs to be quizzed tomorrow and I gave a few pointers on some “tricky bits” with them.
  • We began the new unit, Lesson 2A: Tecnología y el progreso. We’ll be discussing ecology, so we began with a 3-column handout with (1)
  • Topics they probably already knew how to discuss that relate to the topic (weather, geological formations, etc.) (2) What the student wanted to be able to talk about/learn in the unit. We’ll save the last column for after we finish :

  • We introduced the vocabulary on page 46, which is alphabetically by parts of speech. I suggested that vocabulary is easier to learn when reorganized into thematic groups and I distributed a vocabulary list I made from these same words, with some additions – of course!
  • Tarea/homework:
    1. Verb quiz tomorrow ( arrastrar, aullar, calar, conducer, contra)
    2. Write definitions for 8 words/items from the new vocabulary list.
    3. Write out answers to the “Tema de discussion”, page 41, citing at least 3 supports for each of your answers.

  • Turned in flashcards from pp. 98 & 99.
  • What review sheet from pp 98-99 (2B- A ver si recuerdas).
    1. Took as a practice quiz to see how much students could remember from doing the flashcards.
    2. Continued with the review handout, now using one’s textbook to fill-in what the student couldn’t remember. I suggested the students make a notation by the items they needed to look up to remind them to study those items even harder.
    3. Reviewed the numbers 10-1,000,000.
    4. Corrected the 5 translation sentences: on the Smart Board and the White Board.
  • Began exercise 1-1, page 98. Writing out sentences incorporating the vocabulary.
  • Period 2 continued to part 2 of exercise one, taking turns asking and answering questions based on the sentences they wrote.
  • Period 4 reviewed Test 2A
  • Distributed a review handout of all of the verbs covered so far in the book.

Tarea / homework

1. Make 2-sided flashcards of the 6 verbs that begin with “A” on the verb review handout. Side 1: Write the English Meaning / Side 2: Write the meaning in Spanish then all 6 conjugations in the present tense.

  • Tarea: Read the introduction, and then the science fiction story, “Cuéntame un cuento” in your textbook, pp. 37-41. Also complete the comprehension activity 42, on page 41.

  • New seating chart – period 4; period 2 tomorrow.
  • We took a ‘review quiz’ – class procedures, and then we reviewed the answers together.
  • Tested ourselves on knowing our classmates “real names” and classroom names.
  • Wrote a new SMART goal for Spanish this quarter: Specific, Measurable, Attainable (realistic), Relevant to Spanish, Timely – contains a time limit by when you will meet the goal.
  • Reviewed “Going Shopping” vocabulary – page 98. We made personal vocabulary lists for words we didn’t know already.
  • Period 2 reviewed the 2A test from Thursday. I’ll double check period 4’s tests to be able to enter any changes to their grades this afternoon.
  • Tried to show 4th period students their grades, but the computer system and I weren’t communicating well :< - Lo siento.

  • Took a ‘review quiz’ – class procedures, and then we reviewed the answers together.
  • Tested ourselves on knowing our classmates “real names” and classroom names.
  • Reviewed “Going Shopping” vocabulary – page 98. We made personal vocabulary lists for words we didn’t know already.
  • Period 2 reviewed the 2A test from Thursday. I’ll double check period 4’s tests to be able to enter any changes to their grades this afternoon.
  • Tried to show 4th period students their grades, but the computer system and I weren’t communicating well :< - Lo siento.

  • We stamped and corrected the homework – review exercises for the test: crossword, vocabulary completion, unscrambled sentences, sentence translations and reflexive verb conjugation practices.
  • We turned in our remaining hall passes for extra credit: up to 20 points.
  • Took 2A test today: Reflexive verbs, daily routine, ser versus estar and stressed possessives (it’s mine!).
  • Got packet of Body and Clothing and Lotería vocabulary and games on the same vocabulary topics.
  • Homework? Rest up! I’m going to work you hard next week!

  • Took our vocabulary 2A Spelling test today (33 points).
  • Reviewed all of the content goals of lesson 2A in preparation for tomorrow’s lesson test. See page 96 in your test for an overview, and study the NUMBERED study points in your packets.
    1. Ser versus Estar: we reviewed our notes from the Ser/Estar packet and completed the exercises on the top of page 110 and Ex. B, page 112.
    2. Reflexive Verbs = this is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the lesson. We reviewed the study points on the first two pages of the green packet. Then we added EX. D to the work we had done and went over the answers together. Next we verified our homework on EX. E & F.
    3. Emphasized Possessives: Not as stressed, but still in the chapter. We talked about these when we did the overview of the chapter, practiced them quite a bit on Monday, and today got a packet. We reviewed the regular possessive adjectives that you have been using since Spanish I (mi, tu, su) and compared them to these (mío, tuyo, suyo, nuestro, vuestro, suyo). We went over the study notes and did several practices together.

· Gave some pointers for the test tomorrow:

        1. Vocabulary recognition in context.
        2. Scantron for Grammar Points (#’s 1, 2, 3 above)
        3. Composition about your typical day:

Be ready to write all about your daily routine incorporating lots of the vocabulary from pages 70, 71 and 96 AND incorporate lots of reflexive verbs used appropriately for the context and conjugated correctly.

  • Reviewed daily routine verbs: (1) sentence translations (2) Partner oral game: Double Discovery. This Battleship-type game involves asking your partner questions in the Tú form and s/he answers in the Yo form of the verb.
  • Reviewed using REFLEXIVE verbs in verb phrases that require an infinitive, like those on page 71, and in the WAVA assignment on page 31.
  • WAVA listening Activity 6 – Who’s wearing what to which event?
  • Reviewed the uses of SER and ESTAR: went over the study points in another grammar packet AND corrected our assignment in the workbook from last night, ACT. 12, page 33.
  • Reviewed what tomorrow’s vocabulary test will be like. I provide the English, students will write out the Spanish equivalent and be sure to spell it accurately.
  • Tarea:

  • We organized our presentation order by signing up on the board.
  • We heard presentations #’s 1-12 today.
  • Reviewed the “meaning changers” of certain verbs in their English translations of their forms in the Preterite versus the Imperfect – see page 32. We added “Haber”- Past tense of “Hay” = There is/are (1) preterite: Hubo=there occurred, (2) imperfect: Había = there was/were
  • Went over the study points for Thursday’s test over Unidad 1 – see below
  • Started students off on the homework assignment.
  • Tarea:

  • Took the last quiz of the 1A verbs today (#’s 36-45), and corrected our own in class right afterwards.
  • Began Lección 1B: previewed vocabulary, page 25. We went over the list of verbs, and added them as #’s 46-61 on our verb chart.
  • Went over pronunciation and meaning distinguishers, as well as the ¡Cuidado! Section: dejar; dejar + de + infinitivo; dejar + infinitivo.
  • Applied the vocabulary in context by reading the interview with author Enrique Jaramillo Levi about writing. We worked with our 5PM partners.
  • As a whole class we reviewed the article by working through the comprehension questions in Actividad 23, on page 26.
  • We practiced the preterite versus the imperfecto, by selecting verbs and which form to use while completing the blanks in a short narration.
  • Tarea:
    1. Project due tomorrow
    2. Verbs 46-53 (arrastrar – esconderse) = quiz on miercoles
    3. Verbs 54 – 61 (fimar – tapar) = quiz on jueves

  • Using a picture book under the document camera (Sunshine), students reviewed their daily routine vocabulary and reflexive verbs.

  • I introduced the “Stressed possessive” – where it is important to the speaker to emphasize ownership. (It is MINE) – see page 88.

  • Turned in our graphic organizers – story planners, got credit for them, and then reviewed which past tense would be used for which aspect of the story.
  • I announced that TUESDAY their composition and presentation on this story is due.
    1. The students will turn-in a typed, double-spaced, composition in Spanish, BEFORE presenting. They may use one from which to present, but they should have their own copy.
    2. The students will “build” their story with the aid of visuals to be shown under the document camera. These will be small pictures, articles, props, clip art, etc. that together illustrate the story as it unfolds.
  • We watched a video on the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca and partook in other cultural activities and food to commemorate this special day.
  • Tarea: Work on your project, please.

  • We turned in our list of 10 daily activities, got credit for them and they were returned. Period 2 also got credit for completing the 2 reflexive verbs on the back of their verb grid. In both classes we reviewed the stem-changers in the verb grid.
  • Rehearsed our Mi cuerpo song in our groups and selected our presentation order.
  • Took written quiz over the song.
  • Presented the song in our groups.
  • Introduced the homework – see below.
  • Cultural day: El día de los muertos
    1. We watched the video: El día de los muertos – a teenager visits Oaxaca and experiences their celebration. We completed a study guide along with watching the movie.
    2. We had chocolate mexicano, pan de muertos, galletas y calaveritas de azúcar.
    3. I gave out little calavera rings.
  • Tarea:
    1. Quiz on Monday on the Reflexive Verbs on your verb grid, including the two at the top of the backside. Be sure you know the meanings (from pictures, English and/or the context of a sentence in Spanish) and can conjugate them for all of the subjects. DON’T forget to put the reflexive pronoun with them if the person is doing the action for him/herself.

  • Reviewed the uses of the Preterite and the Imperfecto = brainstormed individually then compiled our ideas.
  • Notes from textbook pages 20, 21 & 28.
  • Introduced how to develop a graphic organizer for our upcoming project over a childhood memory/event, giving an example from my own childhood.
  • Students divided into horizontal row groups, and read Juan Bobo aloud, acting out the parts. – I stamped the comprehension questions from Parte II.
  • Divided into 3 large activity groups to start the “Artesanias” for los días de los muertos (1) adornar las calaveritas de azucar (2) hacer un títere de papel = la calavera cantante (3) hacer recortes de papel (papel picado). We’ll continue these tomorrow along with some other cultural activities.
  • Tarea: Graphic Organizer for Childhood memory project: In Spanish , list the details for these categories:
  1. Lugar = include the details that will come into play in your story.
  2. Personaje = who are they, what characteristics do they have that play into the story?
  3. Eventos centrals: what are the “main events”?
  4. Circunstancias generales = what background descriptions will paint a word picture for us so we can imagine ourselves there?

  • We copied down the Spanish for the new Partner’s list (el cuerpo) = what Spanish words go with which clip art.
  • Reviewed vocabulary and reflexive words = Listening activity in WAVA, page 28, Activity 5.
  • Reviewed more about Reflexive verbs = debriefed the verb grids: meanings, conjugations, stem-changers: Despertarse, Acostarse & Vestirse.
  • MI CUERPO – Test tomorrow! Written and performance. We practiced as a whole class and in our groups. You choose if you’d like to use the music CD. You also choose if you’d like to include the gestures.
  • Went over the corrections from last week’s Unit test: 1B. Most students did REALLY WELL (:>)
  • We watched a bit more of the movie – we’re just about finished1
  • Tarea / Homework:
    1. Song test: be ready to write it out and to perform it.
    2. Write out 10 daily routine verbs in SPANISH using the “YO” form in the order of what you typically do in a day.

Example: I awaken, I get up, I take a shower, I dry off, I get dressed, I go to school, I return home, I do my homework, I watch TV, I brush my teeth, I go to bed.
