Spanish II 05-06-08

Español II 05-06-08

1. As a warm-up, students answered the questions projected on the Smartboard using the preterite tense. We reviewed the questions as a class and students answered them out loud.

2. Many students did not complete their new partner gathering sheet, so we spent some time making sure everyone had all their blank spots filled with classmates’ names.

3. As a class, we reviewed the pictures in the “En Casa” packet to learn words for things on the table, in the bedroom and in the living room. Students did vocabulary exercises in the packet. (2nd period with partners and 4th period individually). We then reviewed the answers.

4. We practiced our prepositions rhyme using gestures and actions to learn the words for in, under, on, etc.

5. Maestra Range quizzed students on telling time by changing the hands on a clock and having students tell what time it was.

6. We read p. 130 in the textbook and did a listening activity related to the new vocabulary about places in the community and errands people do.We reviewed the homework and the pink handout regarding the irregular preterite verbs.
