1. Warm-up: El poder de las palabras – This is to review the concepts/vocabulary from the article on page 3 of their texts. 

ANUNCIO: I’m planning on testing this lesson on Friday, Feb. 8^th.

2. Homework review:

               A. Packet: El sustantivo. Género de las cosas; pp. 16 & 17. 

               B. Workbook page 6 – written numbers

3.  New Packet: Paquete – Numerales cardinales. Went through pages 56-58 fairly quickly; student took notes over what I highlighted and did the Activities 1-5.  Then went over the notes on sections C – F.

4. Listening/Speaking practice: Los jóvenes mexicanos opinan = DVD. 

(1) Showed the questions and the students wrote out their own answers to them.

(2) Played El fin de semana –

(3) Have them ask/answer these questions with a seat partner.

Tarea:

1. Paquete #1 – pg. 19, Act. 5 & 6.

2. Workbook pp. WB 10-11

3. Workbook pp. WB 15-16 (You know that they should know the meanings of the verbs in the box at the top of the page.)
