I was out today doing the oral testing for some of the Spanish IB students. Here's an overview of the work I left with the substitute:

1. Vocabulary Test –Definition and spelling of 1B vocabulary

2. Text book page 70: A ver si recuerdas + Body parts; the clothing that covers them.

A. Introduce/review the vocabulary –This is a review of Spanish 1 for most of the students .

B. Actividad 1 – page 70: Copy & complete the sentences, then share with your seat-partner.

C. Actividad 2 – page 70: “Simón dice que tócate …”

3. Packet: Body & Clothing: Go over the vocabulary and then work together through the practices and Exercises Through D 310.

3. Page 71 = Verbs & Expressions that use the infinitive. I do a take-off on the old English rhyme about two vowels together and I refer to this as “Two verbs together”: When Two verbs go a-walking the first one does the talking – or rather, the first verb is the one that changes for the subject = conjugates.

A. Go through the information in the box at the top of the page - NOTICE ACABAR + de + Infinitive - lower part of the box.

B. Pink “gustar” handout. Fill-in and then share with partner.

C. Actividad 3 – page 71: Students read the message aloud with their partner and then together they write their answers (everyone writes his/her own but they work on them together) being sure to use two verbs together to answer completely. Once all/most are done, call on a few to share with the class.

Homework: Workbook pages 27 & 28 (note: WB 27 = Vocabulary from page 70 & WB 28 = 2 verbs together from page 71.)
