1. Warm-up: Transparency showing 7 common places around the town - Practicing the verb estar while writing sentences saying who is where on the transparency.

The verb "IR" - Two uses for this verb:
To go to a place (ir + a + lugar)
To be going to do something (ir + a + infinitivo)

3. Review practice handout:
We worked on the vocabulary and IR sections together.

4. Guest Speaker: Genevieve Krause from ANDEO - International Homestays: What it is like to be an exchange student and/or to host one.

Tarea:
(1) Show your parents the Progress Report you got today, and have one of them sign it.
(2) Write a SMART goal about your achievement in Spanish class. YOU and YOUR PARENT BOTH sign this.
S = Be SPECIFIC about WHAT you WILL DO/ACHIEVE?; M = MEASURABLE = Use NUMBERS/DATA to mark your starting/ending point with your goal; A = ACHIEVABLE - this is realistic and do-able goal; R -Relevant to your achievement in Spanish class; T = Timely - indicate by WHEN you will achieve this goal. For us - By April 15th = the end of the quarter.
