Spanish II 05-27-08

  • Students worked on the yellow handout of direct commands and translated sentences #11-19.
  • As a class, we read about “glorietas” (traffic circles) in the textbook.
  • Maestra Range reviewed the homework, having the class repeat the affirmative and negative commands. She wrote examples of commands on the board, and students wrote their own five commands. In pairs, students took turns giving these commands to one another, switching partners every two minutes. Several students then gave commands to Maestra Range.
  • Students divided into pairs and got ready to use the small whiteboards and dry erase markers. Each pair raced to translate English sentences written by Maestra Range into Spanish in order to practice using the direct object pronouns.
  • In 4th period, students did a partner activity on p.172 using the present progressive.
  • We reviewed the homework for tonight and in 2nd period, ran through some flashcards of the vocabulary that will be on tomorrow’s exam.
