Spanish II 05-21-08

  • We continued to learn and memorize the questions for Friday’s scored test. Today, students practiced questions #13-18 while Maestra Range checked in the homework. Students wrote answers to the questions and practiced them with a partner.
  • We watched a U-Tube video of the song “Soy Una Pizza” that uses some of the commands we have been learning.
  • In 2nd period, we watched a special TriMet video about community safety when the new MAX line starts running in September. We reviewed the safety brochure in Spanish which also uses commands.
  • Maestra Range showed a PowerPoint presentation explaining how to use Direct Object Pronouns, and in 4th period, we reviewed the WAVA homework on p.64.
  • To practice using direct objects in sentences, we played a game called “Pronombres Vivos” with words written on cards. In teams of five, students made the words into sentences, translating Maestra Range’s English into Spanish.
  • We read p.158 in the textbook. In 2nd period, we read the dialogue about giving and receiving directions and wrote directions to the “zapaterìa.” This exercise was in preparation for the homework assignment, in which students will write directions to the “panaderìa.”
  • In 2nd period, we looked at the map of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico on p.164 and listened to the CD giving directions. Students listened and followed on the map to discover where the directions ended up.
