Spanish II 05-23-08

  • Students took the Vocabulary Production Exam and turned in their homework when they were finished.
  • Maestra Range introduced a song called “Dìmelo” by Marc Anthony in which he uses direct object pronouns, the present progressive and “tù” commands. She explained the lyrics and then played it for the class to hear.
  • We reviewed the homework in the blue packet as a class.
  • Students rearranged the room to form a big circle of paired desks. Each person asked their partner five questions from the list we’ve been practicing from all week, and scored them on how acurately and how quickly they responded using the preterite tense. Each person switched partners 12 times, so students were speaking Spanish for 15 to 20 minutes straight!
  • Maestra Range distributed a white packet about the patterns for commands, and a yellow page to practice using commands.
  • Maestra Range had people practice this lesson's vocabulary by quizzing the class with flashcards.

Tarea:

1. Complete the front side of the yellow page and translate sentences #1-10 on the backside of the page.

2. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
