I was absent, here is what the students did with their sub, La Sra. Duca:
1. New handout the Las Partes del Cuerpo
pictures handout: students wrote out the answers from the key under the document camera.
2. Go over the homework answers* – the vocabulary list they completed as homework.Showed the filled-in one, then
pronounced the words and the students repeated.
*Almost all of the students were
able to copy these after their test on Friday – so I didn’t worry about
stamping/giving credit for it.
3. Activity 1, pg. 98, Part 1. Students wrote (NOT 3 – as directions say
but) FIVE sentences combining elements from the Vocabulary Graphic Organizer @
the top of the page. Where do they go to
buy something: What are they buying? What is it like?
4. Activity 1 – part 2 – Working with their
seat partners, students used the information written in Part 1 as the basis of a
conversation as outlined in Part 2.

Review Cardinal Numbers – page 99 = Pronunciation and the details
in the notes in the box at the top of the page.
6. TEXT Activities 2 & 3
= practicing the numbers.
(A) Activity 2 = Oral: Partners first, then
reviewed all together.
(B) Activity 3 = Written – We suppled the numerals
and then the students write them out.
Papers COLLECTED of the students’ written

(C) PINK Two-sided Handout “Los números 1-100/ Los
números altos”
Students practiced saying numbers
FAST. Did 3 timed practices – For Los
números 1-100, @ 30 seconds for the first one and then adjust for the
next two times.
For Los números altos, @ 45 seconds.
Homework
for Tuesday:
(1) Using the new Vocabulary 2B handout
(re: pg. 124) students make flashcards for 48 vocabulary items.
(2) Workbook pp. 38-39 (re: pp.98
& 99)
