El 31 de enero de 2013

1. Repaso - Los adjetivos: Writing answers to questions based on cartoons in a Power Point practicing our vocabulary from page 3.

2. Notes over Noun/Adjective Agreement: Making the form of the adjective match the gender and number of the noun being described.

3. Homework review & vocabulary practice - using the linked vocabulary lists from yesterday's blog.  Students added the extra adjectives & verbs to their vocabulary sheets from class.

4. Reviewed the verb SER - see page 5.  Reviewed SUBJECT PRONOUNS, again, and the forms of SER.  Corrected homework - Act. 7, pg. 5.

5. Reviewed some of the classroom systems:
A. Signing - in/out for Tardies, Hall Passes & leaving early for the day.
B. Extra papers - Assignment sheets, Flashcards, Verb grids, Extra Handouts for your class.
C. Homework - Copies of THESES posts.
D. Tissue, Hand Sanitizer, Lotion Stations around the room.

6. Started our Partner Surveys (Encuestas) - Using our 5 questions about the class and putting down their names as our Study Buddies.

7. We got our Workbooks today!

Tarea:
1. Workbook pages 1 & 2 = Adjectives & Ser + Sentences.
2. Make FLASHCARDS for numbers 1-24 on the vocabulary sheet.
3. Have your TEXT BOOK COVERED, please.

1. Precaliento: Repaso del español III: 1A/B & 2A/B: Pared de palabras y conversaciones.

2. I answered the students' questions to me from their "Datos personales" handouts

3.  Las partes de la oración: El sustantivo, Los artículos definidos e indefinidos y los adjetivos.

4. El género y el número = los sustantivos regulares e irregulares.
HANDOUTS:
(A) I distributed our WORKBOOKS. 
Then we worked on pp. WB1 & 2:Apuntes y ejercicio 1 en clase
(B)  El paquete: 1. El sustantivo: Género de las cosas.
Letra A - regla general y Actividad 1 en clase.

5. Presentaciones - we began our partner introductions to the class using the paragraph written as last night's homework.

El español II - el 30 de enero de 2013

1. Precaliento: Warm-up = Repaso español 1, pp. 1-4
2. Repaso - Tarea = Categorías: We reviewed words for each of the 6 categories from last night's homework.
3. Students turn-in their signed Workbook & Level letters; I'll still accept them for full credit tomorrow.
4. Introduction to the lesson: pp. 1, 2 & 3: Overview of how lessons are introduced; Listened to and read the conversations at top of page 2 and then wrote out answers to Actividad 1.  We then went over these together.
5. Reviewed ADJECTIVES - Why there are 4 forms.  See page 3 of Text & pg. 3 of your Repaso packet)
Review of SUBJECT Pronouns - See page 2 of your Review packet.
6. Review of the verb SER - see page 5 in the text book (& page 4 of your Repaso packet).

Tarea:
1. Vocabulary List - complete with the Spanish. 
Sorry for the confusion - you'll need to refer to TWO separate games for the words
(A) For the Adjectives: personality and physical appearance use the first part of this list. 
(B) For the Verbs, To say where and To say when use the SECOND HALF of this list - AFTER the NATIONALITIES.
2. Actividad 7, pg. 5 - text book: Practicing the forms of the verb SER .  You can just list the forms of the verbs needed for each number in the paragraph: 1-10.
3. Workbook & Level Letters completed and signed, if not already done.
4. Text book covered by Friday.

3. Encuesta: Survery of 2 other classmates using our 5-question Quiz written as homework.  We then turned these in.

4. Entrevista personal (Hoja extra)- Working with a new person, each interviews the other to get background for your homework tonight.

5. Study Buddies: Filled-in the 3 spaces on the syllabus using our 3 working partners today: 2 from the Encuesta and the 3rd from our Entrevista.

Tarea:
1. Write a paragraph in Spanish describing your partner from the Entrevista personal done in class today.  Paragraph = 5-7 well written sentences.  Wondering about typing accents and tildes?  See the

El español II - el 29 de enero de 2012



¡BIENVENIDOS A LA CLASE NUEVA!

1. Datos personales: Selected a Spanish-class name and then filled-in an informational sheet about who we are.  Turned-in for points!

2. Checked-out textbooks from the library - Wrote our NAMES on the inside cover.  PLEASE have it COVERED by FRIDAY. 


3. REPASO:
(A) Las expresiones utiles para la clase - Handout
(B) Práctica oral = conversación de presentación.
(C) BIG Spanish 1 Vocabulary  Review Packet Handout.
(D) Categorías - Just started coming up for Spanish words that fit into 6 different Categories - See Tarea/Homework.


4. Class Business Handouts: 
(A) Bienvenidos a la clase de español: Course sylabus & class expectations
(B) "Workbook Letter" - Last page of the Bienvenidos packet 
(C) "Level Letter" - Verifying this is the BEST placement for you. 

Tarea/Homework:

1. Write a Five Question "Quiz"- and answers - in English about the class expectations and grading procedures from the Bienvenidos a la clase de español packet.  You'll use this in class tomorrow to "test" your classmates.
2. Categorías: Divide your paper into 6 sections. In Each Section write at LEAST 8 words in Spanish for EACH of the Following Categories: (1)Escuela (2) Personas y Descripciones (3) Comidas (4)Actividades (5) Lugares (places) (6) Días especiales. 
3. Have a parent complete and sign the "Workbook Letter" - last page of the white Bienvenidos packet - AND the "Level Letter".
4. Have your textbook covered by Friday.
