1. Organized our projects into packets to turn:
- Grading Sheet: Name & Number of Presentation filled-in
- Final Typed Copy - 3 Paragraphs
- Handout with (A) Specialized Vocabulary List (Spanish=English) AND the FIVE Comprehension Questions in Spanish for the other students (BUT WITH ANSWERS for MY COPY ONLY)
- Bibliography - Website, Date Visited, Date of Last Up-date, Sponsor and/or Author of Site.
- Rough Draft of 3 paragraphs
2. Warm-up: Preterite/Imperfecto - Translation sentences (using Chapter 1 Vocabulary) then sketching in lines related to which past tense used for each verb. Squiggle = Imperfecto, Diagonal = Pretérito
3. Reading on page 35 - Las Torres de Paine and Ecoturism. Followed by the WAVA Packet - Writing Activities 8 & 9 referencing Torres de Paine and using the Pretérito. We wrote this in partners.
4. Partner Oral activity: Imperfecto interrupted by Pretérito. Cuándo .... qué pasó? We'll add on to this as part of the homework.
5. Parejas - El juego de gato (Tic-tac-toe): Earn your square by correctly identifying your partner's definition of a vocabulary word. We'll write more of these kinds of definitions for homework.
Tarea:
1. Write 6 more sentence definitions like the ones in the Tic-Tac-Toe game = Sentences in Spanish that describe the word you're defining. NOT AN ENGLISH = SPANISH LIST. Don't repeat ones used in the game, or at least write a different definition for the same word.
2. Workbook pages 17 & 18
3. Using the Cuando...qué pasó? handout, write 6 sentences starting with the Subjects in the first column + the Imperfecto of the verbs in the next column. Then pick a subject from the 3rd column and have them interrupt with an action in the Preterite with a verb in the 4th column.
