1. Precaliento: While students wrote out answers to some basic getting to know you questions I collected the parent-signed letters and checked off their other homework.
2. REPASO - Reviewing (A) positive personality traits; (B) favorite days/celebrations; (C) favorite places & (D) favorite foods using a Power Point and photo posters. We'll use these concepts as part of our name plate decorations as homework tonight, and then as a conversation starter tomorrow in class.
3. Alphabet review - and then practiced dictating our classroom names to one another, then as a whole class.
4. Homework review: Categorías (some the same as in earlier review)
Students shared the words they sorted into the categories of la escuela, Las actividades, los días especiales, La familia y La comida.
5. I went over the "classroom systems": Sign-in/Sign-out; Homework center; School Info Center; where to turn-in make-up/late work, etc.
Tarea:
1. Vocabulary List P.E. #1: Take care to accurately write the Spanish for the English items.
2. Make your name plate for class: Latino name on one side with drawings/visuals in each corner representing the 4 areas in the REPASO listed above. Your "Hallway name" - First & Last on the reverse.
3. Fill-in the reverse of your "Pared de Palabras" with items from Sp.II Repaso - 2A/2B.
4. Study Sp. II Repaso 1A/B = Warm-up quiz tomorrow.
