1. Students filled out personal information sheets - "Datos personales" & we went over common expressions used in Spanish class (handout).
2. A la biblioteca! Off to the library to check out your textbook - Realidades 3. Write your name on the inside cover with "Spring 2012 (Thurber)" GET your text book COVERED for FRIDAY! - CONTEST: el más creativo (design); el más artístico; el mejor uso del español.
3. REPASO - español II: Packet - Repaso - Vocabulary/grammar pages from Realidades 2
We started a game of "Pared de Palabras", and students got their own fill-in handout, too.
4. Quick review over introductions, then...Partner interviews - introducing yourselves to your seat partner.
5. Classroom procedures: Students got 2 handout:
(A) Bienvenidos a la clase de español: Syllabus, In-class Performance Grades and Workbook Letter to parents.
(B) "Level Letter" - explaining what level of achievement in Spanish 2 is a good predictor for success in Spanish 3.
Tarea:
1. Have your parent fill-out & sign: (A) Level letter (B) Syllabus/Workbook letter
2. Pared de palabras - Repaso: Fill-in the words YOU need to know from Spanish II vocabulary lists for 1A & 1B
3. Syllabus Quiz - Write 5 questions, and their answers, based on the Bienvenidos a la clase de español packet. Be ready to ask your classmates these questions tomorrow. TRY WRITING YOUR QUESTIONS IN SPANISH.
4. Categorías: For EACH of the following categories make a list of at least 10 words:
La escuela; Las Actividades; Los días especiales; La familia; La comida
