Español II el 6 de febrero de 2012

1. Students filled out personal information sheets - "Datos personales" & we went over common expressions used in Spanish class (handout).

2. Quick review over introductions, then...Partner interviews - introducing yourselves to your seat partner.

3. A la biblioteca! Off to the library to check out your textbook - Realidades 2. Write your name on the inside cover with "Spring 2012 (Thurber)" GET your text book COVERED for FRIDAY! - CONTEST: el más creativo (design); el más artístico; el mejor uso del español.

4. REPASO - español 1: 2 packets (A) Para empezar - 2A (B) lessons 2B - 5B
We started a game of "Pared de Palabras", and students got their own fill-in handout, too.

5. Classroom procedures: Students got 2 handout:
(A) Bienvenidos a la clase de español: syllabus, In-class Performance Grades and Workbook Letter to parents.
(B) "Level Letter" - explaining what level of achievement in Spanish 1 is a good predictor for success in Spanish 2.

Tarea:
1. Parent completes and signs the Syllabus/workbook letter and also signs the "Level Letter".
2. Write 5 questions in English, and their answers, about the classroom procedures and policies. We'll use this tomorrow in-class to test other students.
3. Using the Repaso packet and your Pared de Palabras handout - fill-in 40 vocabulary items you need to work on from the first Repaso packet - Lessons Para empezar, 1A, 1B, 2A.
