1. Rapid Review: Working with a partner and using a packet of review vocabulary from Español I, students did fast timed vocabulary drills.
2. Textbook Scavenger Hunt - Handout - we got to know our book by working through this with our partner.
3. Introduced our first lesson - a review unit - Para empezar:
Vocabulary List - we numbered the words and practiced their pronunciation and meanings. words). We grouped them into 3 sets (1-24, 25-48, 49-54). I introduced the format for making flash cards for this class. Number each card to match its number on the list, write English on one side/Spanish on the other, Cut them apart, and organize by number and keep together with either a rubber band, paper clip or small baggie.

We read and listened to the opening dialogue and did Activity 1.

We reviewed how to use adjectives.
page 5.
Reviewed the forms and meanings of the verb SER.
We practiced forming simple sentences putting together a SUBJECT + VERB FORM + ADJECTIVE.
4. Students asked and answered their homework questions about the class and turned them in.
Tarea:
1. Make flashcards (see above for how) for group one on vocab. list (#s 1-24).
2. Workbook Packet: Exerises P-1 & 2.
3. Have your text covered.
