1. Warm-up:Activity 4, page 22: Writing, and then speaking about what students HAVE TO DO in various courses. Tener + que + infinitive = To HAVE to...

2. Page 31: Affirmative and Negative words (adjectives and adverbs) - Read the Recuerdas? box, and the grammar explanation. Next we watched the Gram Active DVD(goofy grammar)and did the practice "quiz" aloud. Finally, we wrote out ACT. 19, on page 31 together.

3. STEM-CHANGING VERBS! We corrected the homework (1A-5, pg 11 in workbook), and took notes over what to pay close attention to when working with these verb. Next we practiced more of these verbs as we played the Lotería 1A stem-changers game.

4. I introduced/explained the homework and reminded the students of the upcoming quizzes and tests.

ANUNCIO! - I've decided to give everyone an EXTRA DAY on all of the quizzes and tests . So, NEW PLAN:
(1) Stem-changing verbs on MONDAY -Know the Meanings and the forms of the verbs on your LOTERIA game and be able to take the English(She eats lunch) and convert it to the Spanish(Ella almuerza).
(2) Vocabulary - on TUESDAY: Spelling and meanings from a selection of the vocabulary list.
(3) Lesson EXAM - ALL vocabulary and grammar from the lesson - Affirmative and Negative words as well as stem-changers. Also the Fondo Culturales readings.

Tarea:
1. Pink verb grid - STEM-CHANGERS = Fill it all out. Use your LOTERIA 1A (last night's homework) as a guide.
2. White verb handout: Translate the English verb forms to their Spanish equivalent. This is a GREAT practice for our quiz!
