Español I Examen: Realidades I
What to Study!

Para empezar topics:
• Greet people at different times of the day
• Introduce yourself to others
• Tú versus usted (Ud.) – see your NOTES*
• Respond to classroom directions/commands – NOTES
• Begin using numbers (0-100) – NOTES
• Telling Time – NOTES
• Identify parts of the boday – NOTES
• Talk about the calendar – NOTES
• Describe weather conditions – NOTES
• Identify seasons – NOTES
• Definite Articles (the: el, la, los, las) – NOTES
• Indefinite Articles (a/an: un, una, unos, unas) – NOTES
* Your notes include what you write in class AND your class handouts.

What the test is like:
• True/False
• Short written answers in Spanish
• Spelling test – writing the Spanish from English – Accurate spelling in Spanish using accent marks, tildes, and Spanish punctuation marks.
• Listening Comprehension – and choosing the best response in Spanish.
• Reading Comprehension –
(A) Short sentences in Spanish with questions in English
(B) Matching drawings with words in Spanish.

STUDY TASKS:
A. Write out at least 20 words and/or phrases from Para empezar vocabulary list in Spanish and English.
B. Go through your flash cards, and make a pile of ones that you can’t immediately say the Spanish.
C. Using your flashcards, make a pile of all of the people and things. Say them in Spanish and practice saying “The” or “A/an” with them.
D. Explain the difference between Tú and Ud. Give 2 examples of when you would use each (4 examples total).
E. Rewrite any notes from this chapter that you think will be helpful for your EXAM.
