Guía de estudios – Realidades 3, capítulo 4
Fecha del examen: 26 de enero (el martes)
• Reflexive verbs – page 155
o See extra handout and/or packet
• Reflexive pronouns for reciprocal actions– page 157
o Please note that these are only used in the plural forms of the verb when the two people do the same action for one another.
Ejemplo: Nos llamamos cada día. – We call one other every day.
• Subjunctive with verbs of emotion/reaction/anticipation
(Temo que, Tengo miedo de que, Es una lástima que, etc)
o See page 132 for reminders of how to form the subjunctive
Por y Para – page 171
o See extra packet for more notes
• Mandatos de Nosotros (“Let’s...” commands) - page 182
o Remember the extra steps in forming reflexive nosotros commands.
Levantarse → levantemos→ (-) s → (+) nos →
(+) acento antes la “m” →levantémonos
o Remember: direct and indirect object pronouns are not the same as reflexive pronouns = we DO NOT take the “s” off of nosotros to attach these.
o Direct object and indirect object pronouns are just attached at the end of an affirmative nosotros command (ej: tirémoslo).
o With negative commands, neither a reflexive pronoun nor an object pronoun is not attached to the end of the verb.
o The pronoun falls between the “no” and the verb (ej: No lo tiremos)
• Possessive Pronouns - page 184 (ej: míos, tuyos, suyos, etc.)
– See blog from 01/21/10 for extra notes on how to use these.
