If you were absent (1) be sure to make up the listening participation points AND (2) get the questions/thematic vocabulary handout for the presentations you missed. You’ll want to get the notes from a classmate, so that you will be able to use them on the cultural final. Look for these in the “Hojas extra” letter holder on the table under the “La Tarea” bulleting board.

• I collected the homework and checked it in while the students practiced for their oral exam tomorrow. We did the “roving partners” format: today those in the odd-numbered seats stayed put and those in the even-numbered ones rotated up to the next position when the music played. We confirmed the meanings, and typically correct answers for each group of 5 questions were focused on at each position before starting practicing with each new partner.

• I distributed a new packet (pink), “The Preterite Tense: Irregular Verbs”.

• We went over the verbs in the pink packet and compared these with the white packet: EL PRETERITO (handed out last unit and asked to keep as a ‘ready reference’). We reviewed the Regular Preterites (first page) and then the Irregular verbs (second page). We added caber, from the pink packet, to the ‘u’ group on the second page of the white packet.
