Español IV

I was out of the classroom today with a family emergency. Mrs. Castro came in as our substitute.

• Students organized their written project materials into packets and turned them in.
• Working in pairs, students read aloud the piece on page 68 about Mexico City’s use of stickers on cars to limit driving to everyone day as a means of lowering air pollution.
• Answered questions, based on the reading: comparing and contrasting pollution problems found in Mexico City with those found in various cities in the United States.
• Selected an environmental issue as the most significant of those listed after the reading on page 68, and wrote out WHY it is the most significant, supporting your argument with relevant details.
• Continued our work with the subjunctive – see pages 64-67.
• Small group vocabulary drill (page 60) with flashcards.
• Tarea:
1. Project presentations begin tomorrow.
2. Announced (via the board) Unit 2 Test on 12-17-08: BOTH lessons A & B (Las partes primera y segunda del Capítulo 2)
