resumen? - Some students are just
recopying the articles and calling that either an outline or a summary. Neither is what I’m looking for – I want you
to be able to use YOUR OWN SPANISH words to say the main concepts. In an outline we list the importance of the
ideas and their supporting details in a heirarchy.
4. Practiced an OUTLINE (Bosquejo) – Working with a partner –Wrote
a new one from last night’s article, Rock con conciencia. We then debriefed this all together.
5. HANDOUT/Paquete: El manual de estilos de texto: Text
expositivo o explicativo. The front page
is a chart showing the elements of an explanatory/informative piece of writing. The next two pages demonstrate HOW TO ANALYSE
this type of writing.
6. Vocabulario – pg 46 – Mis categorias: This handout is an
example of HOW YOU can learn the vocabulary in a more meaningful way. (1)
Divide the words into categories that make sense to you. (2) Find MORE WORDS
that fill out your categories that are ones YOU WANT TO KNOW and think YOU WILL
WANT to USE when talking/writing about these topics.
Tarea:
1. Read the article on page 59 – and be ready to talk about
it, using the ANALYSIS from the Text expositivo o explicativo handout. See page 60 for vocabulary.
2. NEW Handout: Lección 2, 1a parte – Tarea de repaso. Complete THROUGH Parte II (top 1/3 of pg2)
