El español IV - el 19 de octubre de 2012
Gracias a la Sra. Predovic por enseñar a Uds. en mi ausencia.
Here's the plan I left for her to do with you:
1. Precaliento students wrote out answers 3-4 sentences answers to each of the questions about their childhood. Homework was stamped during this time.
2. Asked/answered
these questions of their seat partners – and then called on pairs to do the
same for the class. Collected the
Precaliento.
3. Corrected the homework -Workbook
4. Fairy tales!
(A) Shared some of my
children’s books – “Cuentos de hadas” - that I bought in Mexico.
(B) Most of the books had papers that gave special
vocabulary for the story and also comprehension questions. If partners got a book that didn’t have them
– they should have started ones for their story.
(C) Everyone had HIS/HER own piece of paper, too – to keep track of the stories they read, the vocabulary that is new to them, and
the questions they could answer after reading them. These were collected at the end of the
activity.
(D) Distribute a story to each pair and they should take
turns reading them aloud to one another, helping each other to figure out the
meaning, and writing down their new vocab & question answers, once done
with the story. Once most are done – ask
people to carefully move to a new
place (so as to not accidentally damage the book of its vocab/questons papers. THE
STORY STAYS WHERE IT IS LOCATED AND THE PARTNERS MOVE. Everyone
should have a NEW PARTNER and a NEW STORY. Try to get 3 stories done.
Homework: (1) Workbook 33 (Act. 1-9) (2) Write an “Entrevista” – same format
as the lesson opener on page 24. This is a reporter (reportero) interviewing one
of the “personajes” from one of the Cuentos de Hadas that they read today. They need to use the Preterite & the Imperfect appropriately (see pp. 28 in text). Minimum
of 7 questions with complete answers.
