1. Cultural presentation about SPAIN by our guest speaker "Jason" from Andeo - Local student exchange company. Jason shared about his experiences as a language student and an exchange student in Spain.
2. Introduced the RESEARCH project for Capítulo Uno – Un parque nacional. Students will narrate, in the past, an imaginary Ecotourism trip to a REAL national park/reserve in the Spanish-speaking world. Their goal is to make us really want to go there ourselves.
I explained their PACKET of information: Guidelines to the project (see separate post), List of helpful websites, Editing suggestions, Scoring Guide. FINAL Written Copy with Power Point due 3/14/11.
I showed the students examples of previous projects to help them visualize what they might do.
Students selected a park to research from a list passed through the class.
Tarea:
1. A bibliography of 3-5 resources for the park selected in class today.
2. Prepare LOTERIA (bingo game) of irregular preterite verbs - giving BOTH the SPANISH and ENGLISH in each answer. Example: Anduve/I walked. Pink handout
3. Crossword puzzle from page 58 - White handout
