1. Precaliento (Warm-up): La ropa - identify, in Spanish, the articles of clothing pictured under the document camera. I checked in their homework flashcards and workbook exercise.

2. NEW yellow drawing flashcards - 3 sets in one packet: El cuerpo, La ropa, los acesorios. Confirmed/introduced more vocabulary.

3. NEW blue handout: Two-sided handout with drawings of men's and women's clothing items and accessories.

4. Homework corrections/review: Workbook page 27 - 2A-A: clothing/parts of the body.

TRIVIA: ¿Cómo se llama un “raincoat” en español?

5. NOTES - page 71: Using verb phrases = TOGETHER. CONJUGATE THE FIRST VERB BUT LEAVE THE SECOND VERB IN THE INFINITIVE.
We listesd all 11 verb phrases used in the review box at the top of the page and 1 more I added (Me fascina + infinitive). We practiced using them with the second verb "Cantar"
(A) FIRST VERB IS GUSTAR, OR VERBS LIKE "GUSTAR" - CONJUGATE THE 1ST VERB FOR WHAT IS 'LIKED', 'LOVED', OR 'ENCHANTING' TO THE PERSON. Do NOT use YO
1. Me gusta cantar 2. Me encanta cantar 3. Me fascina cantar

(B) FIRST VERB - OTHER THAN GUSTAR 'GROUP' = CONJUGATES FOR WHO IS DOING THE ACTION (NORMAL USE). Examples are with "Yo"
4. Puedo cantar 5. No debo cantar en el cine 6. Prefiero cantar con el coro
7. Quiero cantar con Uds. 8. Pienso cantar en clase hoy (CAREFUL HERE! Pensar + infinitive means "TO PLAN ON" doing the action of the infinitive NOT "To be thinking about" doing it.
9. Necesito cantar bien 10. Tengo que cantar en la clase de español II
11. Voy a cantar 12. Acabo de cantar

6. Practiced using these by doing Actividad 4, page 71 - Conversación con pareja.

7. We SANG! First we listened and filled-in the missing words on our yellow handout, "Mi cuerpo". Then we sang along a couple more times with the music.

ANUNCIO: We will be performing this for the class in small groups on Friday - Yes! You DO GET to memorize it (:>)

Tarea:
1. Workbook page 28 - practicing TWO VERB PHRASES from page 71 in your textbook.
