1. Organized our papers for our cover letter (Carta de solicitar un trabajo) in the following order and then stapled them together with the final draft of the letter on top:
a. Cover letter - typed final copy
b. Paragraph written as homework for last Tuesday
c. Editor's handout with comments: In-class work from last Tuesday
d. Yellow handout with letter writing instructions.

2. NEW CHAPTER - La narración - TEXT Capítulo 1
- primera parte (I'll refer to this lesson as '1A'.)
a. Vocabulary Packet - A variety of ists of vocabulary
1. Pages 10 & 11: fill-in, Quia Activities
2. Verbs from the chapter (in text and workbook): fill-in lists and an activity
b. Reading - page 9: 3 types of narrations and their defining characteristics - The joke, the legend and the fable.
c. Activity 1-2, page 10: Comprehension activity based on the reading.
d. Introduction/review of the PRETERIT:
a. Review of its Uses and FORMS - see pages 13 & 14.
b. NEW pink packet - first page is SPELLING CHANGERS

Period 1 received Progress Report for those whose parents did NOT come to conferences and already picked them up.

Tarea:

1. Write out 10 sentences in Spanish, each defining one of the new terms in the 1A vocabulary packet.
2. Fill-in a new Pared de palabras (Word Wall) using the words in your new 1A vocabulary packet.
3 - Period 1: Progress Report Signed and Returned by Wednesday.
