1. 1st quarter review packet - students began this review of everything studied so far.
2. LIBRARY - We went to the library to check out textbooks. If you did not have your student ID today, please check your text book out in the morning - you'll need to do this to complete your homework.
Please COVER your BOOK and BRING IT to class EVERY DAY.
BOOK COVER Guidelines: Covers & Protects: Corners, edges and spine. If Handmade = HEAVY PAPER. NO TAPE/GLUE to book itself.
3. New course syllabus -
(A) Highlighted key points and wrote in additional information. Please have your parents sign and show me their signature tomorrow.
(B) Filled-in 3 "Study Buddies" for the quarter on the syllabus - exchanging names and phone numbers.
(C) Reviewed the criteria for In-class Performance Points, and how to make those up when absent.
4. New Permisos de pasillo - Extra credit hall passes: Signed and reviewed their use.
5. New vocabulary in-put: I introduced the vocabulary on page 100-101 about classroom objects and indicating WHERE things are.
6. Previewed a memory poem about the prepositions of place.
7. Reviewed AND expanded the verb ESTAR: To Be (health/mood - Estoy bien, gracias). ADDED to indicate LOCATION/POSITION. We ADDED this verb to the bottom of our GREEN VERB GRID we started in lesson 2A. See page 120 for the forms.
Tarea:
1. Parent(s) Sign - New course syllabus: Bienvenidos a la clase de español.
2. ACCURATELY and CAREFULLY fill-in NEW Vocabulary Handout: Capítulo 2B, see page 120 in your textbook.
3. Make flashcards for items #1-21 on your vocabulary handout.
4. Have your text book covered by Friday - see criteria above.
