Reminder: Orals on Friday - Entrevista acerca de la niñez (green handout with questions about your childhood - using El Imperfecto).

Encuesta (Survey) - White Handout
1. Students copied the 5 questions from the Entrevista handout (mentioned above) I selected onto the first section of the handout.
2. Then they wrote out their own answers to the questions.
3. Next they circulated and asked/answered the questions with up to 4 other classmates.
4. Last, students wrote up their "findings" - looking for 3 plurals (we/they) forms of the verbs they could use when others had similar answers to each other or with the student.
5. I collected these once all had enough time to complete them.

Homework Review/Corrections:

We went over the answers to Activities 3,4 & 6 in the text book.

More Past-Tense Practice:
We watched the Gram Activa, see page 219, about:
(a) Using the IMPERFECTO to describe people and places in the past.
(b) Using the IMPERFECTO to talk about actions that were going on when something else happened - We use the PRETERITO for this second action.
We practiced with a couple of exercises included in the video.

We read the Fondo Cultural, on page 216, about the Basque region in Spain, and one of their holidays.

I handed out materials to help students start studying for the final exam:
(1) Green packet - "How to Study for Your Final" - 9 study strategies AND a chapter-by-chapter list of all of the topics and their reference pages in your textbook.
(2) White packet - Unit 1 review: all of the vocabulary, grammar and cultural points in both lessons in this unit, along with an extra review sheet of stem-changing verbs in the present tense.
