Tips for Success
1. Develop and maintain a regular study habit.
2. Skill building =
a. Everyday drill new material
b. Rotate (recycle) review of old material.
3. Practice outside of class.
Use your “study buddies” –
2-3 classmates to practice speaking and vocabulary drills.
4. Get help FAST if feeling unsure.
· Appointments with me before and after school, or on Access time when no staff meetings.
· Tutors available.
1. Both Honor Society and IB students need
to earn service credit.
2. Private adult tutors for hire.
5. Stay POSITIVE; participate in class.
· Volunteer answers; don’t just wait to be called upon.
· Don’t wait until you know your answer is “perfect” – be willing to make a good educated guess and take a risk.
6. Find a personal reason to learn Spanish:
Not “just because” it’s required to go to college.
