  • Handout, ¿Cómo se dice ‘to become’ en Español? – worked through the exercises practicing the different idioms used depending on various contexts.
  • Practiced the meanings of the first “chunk” of verbs from La lista máxima de verbos. _ Practiced sentences based on these.
  • Yellow handout: Conexiones p. 25 – Traducción de vocabulario
  • Distributed white handout: practicing the preterite and imperfect and how their meanings may change when translating to English. See page 32.

  • Reviewed past-tense meaning changers – page 32.
  • Practiced with the white handout from Friday- incorporating the past tense “meaning changers” into sentences.
  • Watched the Barbara Kuzan Nelson interactive story, “!Qué miedo pasé!
  • Did the follow-up preterite/imperfecto exercises based on the words from the hotel clerk’s anecdote about an incident that happened to her at work.
  • Went to the the Proficiency Website from the University of Texas at Austin and listened to three people telling anecdotes about their worst dates/days.
  • Tarea:
    1. Write a paragraph detailing a similar anecdote: something frightening, your worst date ever or a really terrible time you had.
    2. Continue working on the verbs from the “La lista máxima”: Hacer-Oponer
