- Reviewed (again) the 4 nightly habits for successful studying:
- Drill/practice NEW vocabulary and verb forms.
- Recycle/review previously studied/tested vocabulary and verb forms.
- a. “Translate” today’s notes from abbreviations/shorthand to full
sentences while you still remember what they mean.
- Go over any in-class corrections and write notes to yourself about what you want to remember about how to do it correctly in the future.
- Write down any questions you may still have to ask in class the next day.
- Complete the assignment for our next class.
- Partner vocabulary drill/practice – page 58
- Stamped and credited homework.
- Reviewed the time expressions typical for the Preterite and the Imperfect.
- We combined these time expressions with the vocabulary and wrote out “bilingual sentences” – first in Spanish, then translated them to English. We used the English versions for prompts for a White Board Partner review game.
- We went over the corrections of the homework.
- Tarea/homework:
- Activity 39, page 44: Using either ir, ser or ver in each of your sentences, write about your childhood completing the sentences for each of the numbers.
- Activity 41, page 45. Decide if the Preterite, or the Imperfect is required of the verb for each of the sentences, and then conjugate the verb needed in its appropriate form.
