- Turned in bottom of White parent letter re: level appropriate?
- Turned in Yellow parent letter re: contact information & workbook choice
- Reviewed questions from homework: about the class expectations.
- Survey (encuesta) with up to 5 people: asking and answering our questions about the class. Followed up with a whole class review.
- Started the Para Empezar lesson – Review of irregular yo verbs – JigWord #1 on the Rockwood Summit High School Site. Connect the meanings of the verbs with their Spanish equivalents. We then added the yo forms.
- Reviewed the vocabulary at the quia site http://www.quia.com/jg/517886.html
We played a couple of the review games AND I distributed the vocabulary list.
- Read the Fondo Cultural, page 1, about a survey of Spanish teenagers and their daily activities.
- Read p.2 – Survey to Ana and Tomás about their typical daily activities, then completed Activity 1. Period 2 also completed Activity 2 – writing 10 sentences with the given Yo verbs about YOUR daily activities.
- Handout: Pink “Practice Workbook” packet.
- Distributed the WAVA workbook (Writing, Audio, and Visual Activities).
Homework/Tarea:
- Complete activity P-1, workbook packet.
- Using the vocabulary handout, make a study system that will test you on producing the Spanish (NOT just knowing what it means when you see the Spanish). Suggestions: flashcards, paper folds, etc.
