I am out of the classroom today at a professional conference. Here are the plans I left for your sub. Mrs. Hickman:
1. Working with a “seat” partner read aloud, La lucha contra la contaminación en México, D.F. – pg. 68.
2. Next discuss
the Vamos a comparar with partners then brief as a
whole class.
3. Distribute
the Venn Diagrams and for students to compare what is done in Mexico, DF to what is
done in Portandia – those things in common go in the middle space.
4. Use my
Venn in the end to review with a wind up conversation all together.
5. Go over homework: (A) El FUTURO del MEDIO AMBIENTE –
students filled-in the forms of the future tense (B) Five comprehension questions
written in Spanish about the Maná article (with the answers). Students read this article aloud to one
another and then quiz each other using their own questions. – DIFFERENT PARTNER
– “Spain Appointment Partner” = La Plaza Mayor.
To review, call on pairs to pose questions
to the whole class.
6.
Subjunctive practice – Handout: El uso del subjuntivo. Still working with Spain partner,
students write out these sentences in the Subjunctive.
7. IF enough time =
They can play “ Verb Battleship” (yellow grid handout)
SAVE 15 minutes for them
to finish the Incredibles – Play in
Spanish with Spanish subtitles. I promised them they would finish this movie
today!
