Español II el 23 de mayo de 2011

Intro - the "NEW" past tense - "El imperfecto". Using photos from my life I shared some stories about where I used to live, what I was like at that time and what I used to do. As students listened, they filled in a comprehension/ information chart. During our debriefing, students noticed they had observed all of the major forms of the "Imperfecto".

4A - Lesson Into - we went over the goals on page 185, and then read/listened the lesson opener on pages 186-187, and then practiced pronouncing the new words. We also did the comprehension activities using the new vocabulary in context; Activities 1 & 2, page 187.

Preterite Review:
  • Sang the "Cucaracha" Irregular preterites song.
  • Reviewed what will be on tomorrow's Preterite Conjugation Test (see Friday's post)
  • Corrected the homework - Packet: Irregular Preterite Tense - pp. 52 & 54
Watched just a bit more of the película, Enredados

Tarea:
1. Irregular Preterite Packet - Exercise A - page 53. Convert the PRESENT tense verb in the sentence to its PRETERIT equivalent. Ex. traigo (traer) - traje; tengo (tener) - tuve.
2. Study for Preterite Conjugation Test tomorrow.
