Español II el 12 de abril de 2011

1. Reflexive Verbs and Daily Routine:
  • Warm-up: Students practiced writing their typical day - goal: 10 reflexive verbs & 20 vocabulary items (grooming articles, parts of the body, clothing)
  • Yellow handout: El día de Rodrigo - students wrote captions for the drawings of how Rodrigo got ready in the morning.
  • Partner share - compared their daily routine compositions and looked for ways to add more to them.
2. Lesson Review:
  • Notes over Reflexive verbs
  • Notes over uses of Ser & Estar
  • Partner - using the "review quizzes" each student made as homework, partners quizzed each other.
3. Possessives:
  • Demonstration of all three types of possession
  • Written overview of all three types of possession: The thing of the owner (el coche de mi papá), His car (su coche), It's his (Es el coche suyo/ Es suyo).
  • Continued in the possessive packet - focusing on the third type of possession - this is what is included in the lesson - and will be on tomorrow's test.
Tarea:
1. Two-sided REVIEW handout - Repaso de 2A
2. STUDY for tomorrow's lesson test - Vocabulary Spelling Test (English to Spanish), Comprehension multiple choice and short answer and short essay.
