Español III el 11 de marzo de 2011

1. Precaliento (Pink handout): Writing sentences in the past, practicing when to use the preterite versus the imperfect past tenses. Block below to illustrate with a squiggly line for imperfect and a diagonal one for the preterite - like yesterday's white packet.

2. "Bricklayer" Story - Concepts re: preterite versus imperfect past tenses.

3. Activity 42, page 46 - More Preterite/Imperfect = This activity is great practice for our UNIT TEST on WEDNESDAY. Using the infinitive given, form the verb according to the context - preterite? imperfect?

4. Cuando...qué pasó? (Green handout) - partner oral practicing saying something was happening when something else interrupted it.

5. Period 3 = Definitions game

6. Círculos redactores / Editing circles (White handout) - Rough draft of all three paragraphs for Monday's project: Each group member had a different job with guidelines listed on the handout: (1) All information included? (2) Verbs conjugated correctly? (3) Preterite used when it should be? (4) Imperfect used when it should be?

7. I verified with those who had not yet sent me their Power Points (due yesterday) for Monday's project.

2. Workbook - page 18: Complete the questions & answers with the appropriate use of either the preterite or the imperfect.
